Throughout my leadership career, I always looked for opportunities to mentor young employees with great potential.  I just loved young adult energy and soon realized I also had a gift for making a profound difference. It was incredibly exciting for everyone involved.

Concurrently, I was most often leading fast-growing teams where there was a constant need to fill new positions. I hired hundreds and interviewed well over a thousand candidates during my career. I also witnessed first-hand a steady increase in technical prowess along with a steady decrease in interview skills. It disappointed me when I couldn’t hire obvious talent. It was a business loss too. Over time, I noticed that it was always because I couldn’t visualize in the interview how this person would fit in with the rest of my team.

After retiring in 2015, the decision to give back to the next generation of STEM grads was an obvious one. As was career and interview coaching. It was a perfect match for my background and passions. And I knew that every single individual I worked with would be profoundly changed by the experience.

At this point in my life, I am purpose-driven. I don’t need to worry about minimum billings in order to pay the mortgage. I have no need or desire to sell you something that isn’t right for you. If we’re a good fit, great! My purpose is to give back, share the depth and breadth I’ve accumulated over the decades, with the audience best positioned to benefit from it.

  • I have a very strong personal desire and need to give back to the next generation. It is my way of expressing gratitude for an exceptional career. Over 40 years in the workforce, a persona accumulates a wealth of knowledge and experience I accumulated that can greatly benefit others. This is what I want to share with you. 

  • I choose to give back to STEM professionals in the first decade of their career because I was once one. It is a challenging transition, and the learning curve is long and steep. Mistakes can have long-term consequences. My goal is to fundamentally change the trajectory of your career by helping you recognize and stay on the right path for you.

  • I never, ever tire of watching the transformation that happens right before my eyes. Your confidence grows as your understanding deepens, your skills are sharpened and your certainty becomes unquestionable. You will stand tall and proud. Your smile will resonate from deep within. Pearls of Wisdom

If I could do it all over again, I would be braver in following my dreams, especially the ones that simultaneously terrified and excited me the most. I would trust my unique talents and skills more, because they drive my belief in myself. I would care less about accumulating the external symbols of success and look inside at my own internal happiness meter instead. And I would dare to make dramatic career changes sooner when the yearning wouldn’t go away. True happiness and success, I learned later in life, comes from living the path that is uniquely mine.
